Dante Lam the director does a better job after his "Operation Mekong". In this patriotic movie, he balances well and make it a good military movie. The fighting scenes are incredibly realistic and brutal, which greatly trigger the audience's respects to those who are guarding our current peace. War could be bloodshed and extremely cruel. It is beyond the wildest imaginations.
The emotional part of roles is the weakness of "Operation Mekong", but Dante Lam makes it up here in this movie. The premature love between the two soldiers is so touching.
The whole cast devote themselves to the filming very much. Jiang, Luxia, who was the leading role in "Coweb", is so impressive to show a tough girl soldier.
