The Blue Kite/蓝风筝

The movie tells a story of a woman's tragedy: how her family (including three husbands and her child) was crushed in the early years of the Mainland China after the Chinese Communist Party came into power. The misery is: this is more than the tragedy of the woman alone; this is the tragedy of all the people all over the country from 1949 to 1978. Almost everyone was greatly depressed in that era.

The director told the story in a peaceful way, which made the movie more powerful. Doubtlessly this movie was banned due to its political theme.
