Medaka/红鳉鱼/赤めだか

This is a typical Japanese movie on its unique traditional culture: rakugo (kind of like a single talk-show). It is based on true story. Both of the teachers and the students put the art of rakugo as their religion, and they truly devote themselves to the art devoutly. The teacher found kinds of ways to torture the student to help him to learn better, and the student finally understood his teacher's instruction and succeeded.

The audience accept this movie, because the leading male role (the student) is not the most talented guy, and may not be the luckiest guy, or most diligent guy, yet, he truly loves the art of rakugo, and he devoted himself to it, and the audience could share the feeling of the joy when he finally succeeded after so much suffering.
