This animation was based on the novel of the same name by George Orwell. Doubtlessly to sing high praise for it as it was an allegory of Soviet history itself. Audience familiar with the history of the Soviet Union could be able to correspond every animal character with the unique Soviet historical figure. The animation depicted the animal roles very vividly.
The only difference from the original book was that the animation changed the ending to a more positive one, which may shrink the critical strength of the original book. Yet, considering the Soviet regime abandoned by the people after 70 years, we may say the ending was kind of the power of a revelation.
