It is kind of a little disappointed to watch the animation, as there is few points in the movie that can impress me, oh, except for the animation visual effects.
The story is a routinized growing-up story: a little boy (the dinosaur in the animation), burdened by his father's death, had an adventure, made friends with some other people (the three big dinosaurs), defeated some bad guys and built friendship with a dog (the human boy in the movie). This is a typical western-style movie, like anyone else; but excuse me, why to choose dinosaurs then? I do not see any necessities of choosing dinosaurs as the leading roles. Could you explain this to me Mr. Sohn the director?
This IS a simple growing-up story, and Pixar told the story plainly, nothing surprising except for the visual effects. Actually I can't believe at the first glance that this is a Pixar product. Who else to save it?
Performance impression:
Director: Peter Sohn
