Operation Mekong/湄公河行动

This movie is based on a true event, the Mekong Massacre, 13 Chinese citizens were executed by Naw Kham group one of the largest local drug-manufacturing and transportation groups. It was supposed to be a boring mainstream propaganda movie, but luckily Dante Lam the director turned it into a mature and exciting movie.

The Golden Triangle among Burma, Thailand and Laos is very complicated in politics, military powers, economy and the whole society, sort of like "Sicario", the places where there is no regular governments and police. Dante Lam the director did a good job in grasping successfully the essence part of the whole event where the audience are most interested in.

Eddie Peng's performance is refreshing, he really works hard.
