Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons/西游降魔篇

The movie is very similar to Stephen Chow's works "A Chinese Odyssey Part One - Pandora's Box" and "A Chinese Odyssey Part Two - Cinderella" in story structure and plots settings. The same structure is also applied by Jeff Lau's "A chinese tall story": the conflicts between one's true love and business; the girl is very positive, and the negative boy finally realizes his true love after he rejects it repeatedly and loses it for good.

本片在故事上和情节设置上都非常类似周星驰原来的作品《月光宝盒》和《仙履奇缘》，这样的结构也被刘镇伟的类似故事《情癫大圣》所采用：对真爱的寻求和对事业的追求之间的矛盾与冲突；女孩子很主动，而被动的男孩子在屡次拒绝并最终失去了真爱之后发现了这才是真爱。
