The Wolf of Wall Street/华尔街之狼

Well, the movie is a black but real picture of Wall Street based on real people and history. Yeah, the stock market is that dirty besides its bright side. Greed is the central point of financial market forever, which surely leads to lots of people like Jordan Belfort (by Leonardo DiCaprio).

I understand Leonardo tried to demonstrate his performance skill for an Oscar, but I have to say he worked a little too hard to control the whole movie here. Compared to Gordon Gekko (by Michael Douglas) in "Wall Street", Leonardo shaped his role as a broken and corrupted stockbroker rather than a greedy one. Too much nudity distracted the audience to some extent.

The Wolf of Wall Street Inspirational Speech:

Quotes:
Jordan Belfort: See those little black boxes? They're called telephones. I'm gonna let you in on a little secret about these telephones. They're not gonna dial themselves. Okay? Without you, they're just worthless hunks of plastic. Like a loaded M16 without a trained marine to pull the trigger.

Jordan Belfort: So you listen to me and you listen well. Are you behind on you credit card bills? Good, pick up the phone and start dialing! Is your landlord ready to evict you? Good! Pick up the phone and start dialing! Does your girlfriend think you're fucking worthless loser? Good! Pick up the phone and start dialing! I want you to deal with your problems by becoming rich!
