Fork Lane/挖掘机

Like its peer "A Taxi Driver", this movie is based on the bloody Gwangju Event: in which the South Korean Government massacred lots of students and citizens calling for democracy. The story was told by a retired soldier, he found himself, with all of other veterans in the army suffered by the torture of the conflicts between their loyalty as soldiers and the truth of democracy. He can't bear the pressure of the continuous news of body bones discovered, and drove his fork car to look for the answer of the ultimate question: why send us there to kill the people?

This movie is much heavier than "A Taxi Driver", as its question "why send us there to kill" would receive no answer. Everyone shall face it but everyone avoids it, the dark side of the history.
