Two Acres of Land/两亩地/Do Bigha Zamin

This movie, like the famous "The Bicycle Thief", is a much realistic movie about the miserable lives of poor people in the lowest class of the society.

The family, with little education and capital, struggled to make a living, but the society, lacking the fundamental social welfare, easily crushed the family and took their only two acres of lands. The whole movie showed the audience how the family fell down from hope to disappointment, which was so touching as it was a reflection of real lives.
