The Boy in the Striped Pajamas/穿条纹睡衣的男孩

This is a very tragedy, a boy (Bruno for his name), who was not clearly aware of the Nazi and their crime to the human kind, was unavoidably involved in it and became a victim. Ironically, his father, a Nazi official, was to some degree the murderer to him.

From the beginning to the end, Bruno did not actually know about what the soldiers did and why they had to move to a strange place, and he was so happy to make friend with a boy inside the camp, who was his only friend here. Bruno understood the world by his own limited knowledge as a small boy. He did make some childish mistakes, however, as a kind boy, he was killed by the cold war and Nazi.

The movie is so touching for two reasons. First, it viewed the Nazi's crime through a child's eyes, which deepened the impression that what the Nazi did was so unacceptable to the whole human kind. Second, the contrast between the adults' real world and the children's fantasy world was so strong to strengthen the tragic effect.
