This movie is apparently a politic-led movie: a propaganda of the traditional friendship of China and Philippine. The audience could just see how mercy the ancient Chinese emperor was and how tamed and grateful the Philippine King was.

Actually, this kind of movies are just like toxic to Chinese people and make them forget mutual-respect is the uniquely proper way to build and maintain friendship with other people.
