This movie may be one of the best movies this year in China. Niu Er, the hero, accompanied by the cow he endeavored his life to guard against the Japanese soldiers, the bandits, the robbers and other armed enemies, said in the end when he was alone in the mountain, "Anyway, everything has gone." This sentence may be the point of the movie, and also the essence of many ordinary Chinese people: no matter who is the governor, they only care about their own lives; they believe that anything bad will be gone and a better future will arrive in the end.

I don't think this kind of values has its own advantages or disadvantages, and this movie does not make a moral judgment too. This movie did reflect this values as truly as it can, which is the reason why it is one of the best movie this year.
