The movie seems to be connected with super-natural power, however, more precisely it may be about a discussion of what evil is and how to cope with it.

Evil always appears to people with the mask of various temptations (such as gold), and the problem is simple: how to resist the temptation? Well, the answers are hard for such a simple question. Those who were unable to resist the temptation in the movie all died in the end.

In the end, only one girl who paid less attention to the gold survived in the end. – Actually, she herself was facing danger when she could not resist the temptation of the ship itself (maybe we can say that the ship was meaningful to her just like the gold was to her crew). Only by abandoning the ship could she get rid of the last temptation and survive herself.

There is no such thing as a free lunch.
