Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis/欢迎来北方

Although this movie is a comedy, I don't think its topic is so amusing. In my mind, its topic is somehow serious: the difficulty of interpersonal communication.

It's natural to know that it's difficult for people in different countries to communicate with each other, especially they speak different languages. Yet, this movie disclosed another interesting phenomenon: even inside a same country, the interpersonal communication may be hard too, just because people with heavy stereotypes do not try to change their pre-judgments and choose to believe what they believed.

France is not a big country, compared with China; so it's easy to understand the difficulty of internal communication inside China. Just image, here in China, there are dozens of dialects, and almost 8/10 of Chinese people are totally unable to understand the other 2/10 when the rest Chinese spoken their own dialects (such as Cantonese or Minnan-hua)! This sounds incredible, but it is true. And sometimes it becomes troubles.
