The Monkey King/大闹天宫

This was one of the milestones of the Chinese animation and was an unparalleled masterpiece. It was adapted from the famous Chinese novel "Journey to the West" and succeeded in transforming the audience's dream into reality in front of their eyes by magnificent animation design. The whole animation was so skilled that the successive animations all found it hard to exceed. The animation was so influential that its painting style has been still affecting Chinese people.

Only the first part of the movie was screened, and the second part has been banned for political reasons, which was really one of the irrefutable evidences that how Maoism harmed the development of Chinese literature and art.

这是中国动画片的里程碑之一，是空前的代表作。它改编自中国著名长篇小说《西游记》，成功地通过美轮美奂的动画设计，把读者脑海中的梦境成为眼前的现实，水平之高令后来的动画片无法望其项背。本片影响深远，绘画风格至今仍在影响着中国人。

本片只公映了第一部，第二部由于政治原因至今仍然没有得到公映，这实在是毛泽东主义戕害中国文艺发展的铁证之一。
