Splice/

Science (especially biology) in fact has been faced with a sustained dilemma: one hand, the development of science has been built on the breakthrough of the past moral principles. For example, the development of medical benefited much from the deeper understanding of human anatomy, which however was strictly prohibited in medieval Europe, and also a conflict with the contemporary social beliefs. On the other hand, as part of the contemporaries, it was indeed difficult to accept some of the science research results. The movie was the reflect to such dilemma. And the only sustained question was: when the Pandora's box was open, whether human beings could make sure that everything would be under control.

The story was fairly OK, but the movie was a little too lengthy.
