This is a classic in the movie history, demonstrating how to make a perfect murder. However, to be too perfect ironically becomes its own vulnerability. I don't think it too difficult to connect the twelve passengers and the dead man based on their background such as their visa records and to work out the whole case, yet, the movie is a real good one.
Compared to the 2010 version "Agatha Christie's Poirot: Murder on the Orient Express", this movie demonstrates the original novel better but is kind of short of the argument of "procedural justice vs. substantive justice"
Performance impression:
