Moneyball/点球成金

Although the movie's subject was about sports, it was far beyond sports and even could be regarded as a classic movie for management. It was about the fight between two ideas; one was rigid, relying on the aging experience and old ways, and the other relied on statistics and economics and to win by scientific means. The movie favored the second one, but it also pointed out that it was not a guarantee for victory.

As an inspirational-like movie, it was really live and each role looked real. The audience could see that many ones struggled for life inside. There were the manager who had experienced many success and failures, the freshman who just graduated from Yale, the coach who believed in his own experience, the players who had respective ideas, etc. And the audience could feel them, breath with them and sense their lives.

Finally came a cheer: How great Statistics is!

本片虽然是体育题材，但其实远超过体育的范畴，甚至可以视为是管理学的经典电影。它讲述的是两种理念的斗争，一种是墨守成规，依靠原来的经验和老办法，再一种却是依靠统计学和经济学，用科学的手段来克敌制胜。影片的观点赞成后一种，但也实事求是地指出这并非万能灵药。

作为一部有点类似于励志片的电影，本片很生活化，每一个人物都很真实，很多人都为了生活而挣扎。沉浮多年的经理，刚从耶鲁毕业初出茅庐的大学生， 笃信自己经验的教练，各有想法的球员，让观众觉得自己也在跟着他们一起呼吸，感受他们的生活。
