Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps/华尔街:金钱永不眠

Compared to its prequel, this episode is kind of weak. It does no more shock the audience, as it talks about everything people already know from TV or newspapers and the story is nothing surprisingly pleasant anyway. I can see that the director tried to balance the new financial background, new family ties and the traditional conspiracy story, yet, too much repeating does not make an equally-good movie.

The success of the first "Wall Street" lies mostly in that it explains very well what Greed is; I think this explains the reason why this sequel is not so successful as the first one, as there isn't a unique point, a key for the audience to grab the essence of Wall Street.

Quotes:

Gordon Gekko: You know what they say, "Parents are the bone on which children sharpen their teeth."
