The Grand Budapest Hotel/布达佩斯大饭店

I have to confess that at the beginning I thought this was a dark family-murdering story in a light tone. Yet, after reading some reviews, I agreed that this movie was reflecting the fading European civilization, as the audience can read in the ending that it had been "inspired by Stefan Zweig". The bright color and the fast pace make the movie easy to follow, which is one of its outstanding points.

This is not a Hollywood movie; it employs European style more, especially the traditional European style.

The cast of this movie is so shinning. Unnecessary to mention those so many big names like R. Fiennes, A. Brody or W. Dafoe, just take the leading girl and have a look, I almost did not recognize her but she is the little Hanna in "Hanna". Oh, how time flies!

Performance impression:
Director: Alexander Payne
Cast: Ralph Fiennes, F. Murray Abraham, Mathieu Amalric, Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe, Jeff Goldblum, Harvey Keitel, Jude Law, Bill Murray, Edward Norton, Saoirse Ronan
