I did not see much horror in this movie, which had been supposed to be though. To me, it is more like a movie of how to defeat an evil movie, not a horror one. I think the reason is: the horror movies explore something unknown; you do not know, which makes it horrible; evil-fight movies explore something known, you already know you are about to fight against a monster before you start up. The latter one could also be exciting but not that horrible or scary.
Anyway, James Wan finished another step further in completing his "The Conjuring" world.
The last plot how Sister Irene killed the evil is very good.
