This movie is the biography of Tolkien, the great author of the Middle-Earth novels from his childhood as an orphan to his married youth. It would be better if the director had concentrated more on his novel idea or on the contrary on his family life. A 50-50 movie looked even-balanced, but it actually confused the audience who would fail to catch the points of the movie.
