[读书]Frédéric Pierucci/弗雷德里克·皮耶鲁奇, Matthieu Aron/马修·阿隆:《American Trap/美国陷阱》

This book is more attractive than my expectation. At the first glance, I took it as something cliche or some slogan explanation, but Frédéric Pierucci the author's narration made it like an lone hero's fantasy story. Very interesting in reading. And I knew why it could became the top of the bestseller in China, as it came across a definitely proper time when Huawei the Chinese telecom giant has regarded as the enemy of the U.S., which was compared to the story of the Alstom the French company accused of bribery in the book.

I agree that America did a dirty job here to frame Alstom for the benefit of its own General Electric the giant company, but Alstom was not innocent itself at all. Frédéric the author of the book admitted Alstom had taken bribery as one of the feasible method to win the bidding or business; what Frédéric complained as actually why Alstom had chosen to sacrifice him. No one is 100% innocent in this story, not US, not France, not Alstom, even not Frédéric the author. Frédéric was sacrificed just because he was the right one.

So, at this point, can Chinese people learn something from the case? I do not think so, because if the Party want you to sacrifice, you have no choice to say NO even when you know this would be a trap.
