The Father/困在时间里的父亲

At the first glance, the movie seemed a little broken and confusing. Yet, the more you watched, the more attractive it was, and you can totally experience the world of an old man with Alzheimer, so helpless, so true, and so terrifying. Lots of previous fractures of your life keep breaking and combining themselves and you tried so hard to try to understand new worlds everyday and only to find it more and more difficult to follow. You find yourself trapped in time but be unable to get out of it. That is the real despair.

After watching this movie, I got an idea that you must at least have a child of your own, or no one would care about you really after you are old and can not move as you like. I don't say your child will surely to take care of you but there is always a new hope if you got at least one.

Anthony Hopkins was so talented. The ending part when he cried "I'm losing all my leaves" in the nursing home was so heart-broken. He absolutely deserved a second Oscar.

Quotes:
Anthony: I feel as if I'm losing all my leaves.
The Woman: Your leaves?
Anthony: Yeah.
The Woman: What do you mean?
Anthony: The branches and the wind and the rain. I don't know what's happening anymore. Do you know what's happening? [SNIFFLES] All this business about the flat. I... I have nowhere to put my head down anymore. But I know my watch is on my wrist, that I do know. For the journey. If not, I... Don't know if I'll... be ready to, uh... To... To...
