“Turning red” is a very meaningful metaphor in this animation about how a girl becomes a lady, based on the legendary background setting. The director tells a magic story about a red panda, and well mixes her thought about Chinese girl teenagers' growing pains from kids to adults. The depicting of Chinese family culture is very precise and splendid.
