The structure of the movie is kind of loose, but it is very refreshing for me when I first watched this movie. Spielberg tells the encountering story between human beings and alien in a peaceful way and it is an very attractive adventure for the audience. Considering the background of the movie filming, it is almost the end of the cold war between the Soviet Union and America, you would understand the movie much more.
I've read part of the story in books or cartoons before watching the movie, while I was still surprised by the movie's imagination and the new world inside.
The five-note music in the movie is simple but is impressive, I have remembered it for so many years.
