The Queen/女王

给公众人物树碑立传总是很难的，尤其是当公众人物尚在世且具有很大争议的时候。本片着力在探讨戴安娜王妃不幸遇难的那一周所发生的事件，不管是出于什么理由，但英国女王当时的处理并不是特别恰当。本片并不在于猎奇或“解密”，而是找到了一个切入口（by HM Queen Elizabeth II）：I doubt there is anyone who knows the British people more than I do, Mr. Blair, nor who has greater faith in their wisdom and judgement. And it is my belief that they will any moment reject this... this "mood", which is being stirred up by the press, in favor of a period of restrained grief, and sober, private mourning. That's the way we do things in this country, quietly, with dignity. That's what the rest of the world has always admired us for. 以这样的理由平衡了剧中各个人物的角色和情感。
