Hannibal/战争之父汉尼拔

This is a feature movie with a documentary style. The general Hannibal in the movie reminds the audience of the similar tragic hero General Xiang Yu in ancient China. Both Hannibal and Xiang Yu were very good on the battlefields but failed eventually.

In fact, in my opinion, Hannibal's tragedy was doomed at the very beginning: first, a long-range attack requires to shock the enemy and to solve them as soon as possible, rather than make it a "Quagmire War"; second, you can not let enemy rest, you must destroy them completely before they rebuild their army; third, consolidate your backing and allies. Unfortunately, Hannibal almost failed to cover the three points, so although he was very prominent tactically but he finally failed expectedly.

这是一部带有纪录片风格的故事片。影片中的军事将领汉尼拔令人想起中国古代相似的悲剧性英雄项羽，两个人都是在战场上叱诧风云，但最后都失败了。其实，在我看来，汉尼拔的悲剧是一开始就注定的：第一，长途奔袭，重在出其不意，要速战速决，而不是打成相持的阵地战；第二，不能让敌人有喘息的机会，要彻底毁掉敌人赖以重建的根基；第三，要巩固好后方和同盟。遗憾的是，汉尼拔在这三点上都没有做到，所以他虽然在战术上很突出，但最后的失败也就可想而知了。
