The One-Armed Swordsman/独臂刀

Tsui Hark's "The Blade" is the remake of this movie. Although this movie asked a somewhat deep question like "why do you practice kung fu", the movie's point is a simple revenge story mixed with love plots, and is a typical Shaw Brother movie. In contrast, "The Blade" questions the nature of kung fu world, which is deeper.

徐克的《断刀客》正是翻拍自此片。本片虽然也有“练武是为了什么”这样略有深度的问题，但核心还是一个掺杂了爱情的简单复仇故事，是典型的邵氏电影代表作。相比之下，《断刀客》直接拷问了江湖的本质，显得深刻一些。
