The theme of political fights has always been a hot topic of Hollywood movies, and of course they may follow similar routines: some journalist or an insiders noted a certain plot, and then started tracing the tiny clues, after removing numerous dangers and obstacles, finally disclosed the fact, the bad guys sent to justice, end.

This movie followed this routine too. Of course, generally due to that its time may be a little early, the story was told in ease, not too tight.The downside is that the movie was somewhat lengthy, if the producer could cut something unnecessary off, and the pace would be faster, the attractiveness may also be greater.

政治斗争题材一直都是好莱坞电影的热点，当然套路也类似：某个记者或者某个局中人得悉了某个阴谋，然后从蛛丝马迹开始查起，排除重重险阻，直到最后揭开谜底，把坏人绳之以法，结束。

本片也不例外，当然总体来说，可能是因为拍摄年代比较早，情节展开比较舒缓，不是过分紧张。不足之处是本片略显冗长，如果能把多余的水分再挤掉一些，节奏会更快，吸引力可能也会更大些。
