New One-Armed Swordsman/新独臂刀

The story was simple, just the traditional framework of "revenge and expose the gang's conspiracy". The leading hero used a dao with only one arm made the movie somewhat refreshing and also became one of the models for "The Blade". However, the director's description of the two leading male roles' relationship was kind of a little too ambiguous.

影片本身的情节倒是不复杂，无非也就是“复仇并揭露江湖阴谋”的传统框架。主人公“独臂使刀”令本片略有新意，也是后来《断刀客》的镜鉴之一。只不过，导演在刻画两个男主角的关系上，似乎过于暧昧了一些。
