Decisive Battle: Peking-Tianjin Campaign/大决战：平津战役

Peking-Tianjin Campaign was the last large-scale civil war in China, and there was no large-scale war to the north of the Yangtze River since then. The China Communist Party always exaggerated that Peking-Tianjin Campaign was a peaceful liberation led by CCP. At that time, the CCP's underground power was so powerful that even Fu, Dongju (the daughter of Fu, Zuoyi, the Kuomintang leader in Peking) was one of CCP. Her persuasion was key to the peaceful liberation of Peking.

Overall, there were large-scale scenes in the trilogy movies (Liaoning-Shenyang Campaign, Huaihai Campaign and this one), and there were lots of extras, which, however, did not necessarily mean that the movie would be good, especially to such kind of propaganda mainstream movies.

平津战役是最后一场中国大规模的内战，此后长江以北再无战事。平津战役一直被中共吹嘘为中共主导下的和平解放，当时中共的地下党势力已经相当强大，甚至渗透到了当时北平守将傅作义身边（其女儿傅冬菊）。她的策反对和平解放北平居功至伟。

总体来说，这个三部曲系列（辽沈战役、淮海战役和本片）的战争场面很宏大，群众演员人数很多，但人数多并不代表影片就很精彩，尤其是这样宣传式的主旋律片。
