The legend of Chen Zhen was so familiar to Chinese audience, and in different versions, this movie was the most outstanding one. It had a clear clue, clean narration and distinct roles, in addition, it went far beyond the simple nationalist revenge plot of its prototype "Fist of Fury", and delve more deeply into the ethnic and Sino-Japanese social background behind. The connotation was higher than its predecessor.The kung fu design was so outstanding, for the first time did a movie realize the fights among a variety of fighting skills (Chinese kung fu, Muay Thai, African fighting, Judo and Boxing), which was a salute to Bruce Lee's spirit in the prototype "Fist of Fury".
