Many Comments said that the movie dug the dark side of the leading heroine in mind, well, I myself disagree, and I think this was just nothing more than self-conscious struggle. If you had a mother who lacked good communication with you, demanding her daughter, hoped too much from her daughter, and a perfectionist, you would own the same character: one hand you would be strict to yourself, and on the other hand you wanted to get rid of such a pressure brought by your strictness. The White swan and the black swan specified the inside conflict of the heroine. Or in other words, the two external roles the while swan and the black swan were just the demonstration of her inner conflicts inside. We all have such kind of conflicts, heavy or not.
So, this is a good movie on psychology, with the ballet as its shining cover.
