Dune/沙丘

Not all great novels can be adapted to great movies, and this movie is the evidence. Except for its loose structure, passable visual effect, somewhat-puzzling consciousness-stream-monologues and a little lengthy story, this movie is actually a medieval family revenge story rather than a sci-fi one. At the end of it, both sides chose knives to solve their dispute! This is really astonishing, as you know the background of the story lies in the distant future.

并不是所有伟大的小说都能改编成为伟大的电影，本片就是证据之一。刨去结构的松散、特技效果的差强人意、有点莫名其妙的意识流独白和故事的冗长，本片其实并不是一部科幻地电影，而更像是一部讲述中世纪家族复仇故事的片子。影片的最后居然是双方用刀子解决争议，这实在是令人有点瞠目结舌，要知道故事的背景可是在遥远的未来。
