Appleseed/苹果核战记/アップルシード

The animation's Matrix-like story is actually kind of cliche about the conflicts between human beings and artificial intelligence, only the machine in Matrix and cyborg here and Appleseed concentrates on inter-personal conflicts rather than philosophical considerations.

Yet, I think the point of the animation lies in the visual effect of the typical Japanese 3D animation skills. Some parts of the Animatrix adopted similar drawing style and it is much impressive.
