This is the marine episode of "
300", depicting the sea battles between the ancient Greece and Persia and how Persians lost the war due to their over-pride. Well, in order to highlight the wisdom of Themistocles the Greek general, the movie apparently exaggerates the power of Persian navy, and their stupidity.
There were subtle conflicts between Greece and Sparta in the movie. This could be a splendid story, but the director failed to induce a better framework.
Artemisia (by Eva Green) is a tragedy.
