Well, yeah this is really a Disney film, i.e., this is a sci-fi movie for children. You can expect the ending at the the first glance and the whole framework is kind of childish.

Honestly, it might be better to tell a human-robot love story between Frank (by Clooney) and Athena (by Cassidy) based on the original world-saving story-line, isn't it?
