Race/黑色闪电

The name "Race" is a good pun as the movie covers two subjects: one hand, Jesse Owens was the fastest man in running and he got four Olympic medals in 1936 in Berlin; the other hand, Jesse Owens was racially discriminated by both German and America because he was an African-American.

This is a documentary on Jesse Owens, perhaps the greatest American track and field athlete ever. Yet, there are actually two lines inside: the one is Jesse Owens' growing, and the other is the intertwinement of politics and Olympics, which are never departed. Facing lots of pressure from both inside and outside the track and field, Jesse Owens made his mark and took home four gold medals, he was definitely a hero.

Quotes:
Jesse Owens: In those ten second, there's no black or white, only fast or slow.

Larry: If you get your head turned, by a few gorillas in warm-up pads here at home, how are you gonna hold up in Michigan? A lot of people show up for the Big Ten meet. Not all of them are gonna be on our side, you understand? Do you? Do you? you gotta learn to block it all out! It's just noise! That's all, all this is! All this is, is noise. You hear me? They will love you or they will hate you. Does not matter. Cause either way, when you are out there, you're on your own. Jesse Do you hear me?
