This is a 6-minute animated short film about the growing-up story of NBA legend Kobe Bryant. How he dreamed to be a basketball player in his childhood and how he struggled and devoted himself to becoming a super star. It is really like a love and farewell letter of Kobe to basketball.
The short is a depiction of his poem 'Dear Basketball', and it's accompanied with music by legendary film composer John Williams. This short is well made, but I don't think it deserves an Oscar (it is the Best Animated Short Film in 2018 Oscar); maybe it is mainly because of Kobe the legendary basketball guy?
