Dying to Survive/我不是药神

This movie could be regarded as the Chinese version of "Dallas Buyers Club"; it discloses the miserable facts of poor people who can not afford the genuine medicine and have to purchase alternatives made in India.

This is one of the best Chinese movies this year. There are solid story, reliable logic, every role has his/her own strong motivation, and the performance is real and good. Besides, this movie discloses a very serious social issue: how can poor people afford their medicine? and are they guilty if they have to buy some illegal alternative-medicine?

As the English title says: everyone is dying to survive. It might be illegal, but is it wrong?
