King of Comedy/喜剧之王

This is a Stephen Chow's autobiographical-like movie. Although there are still some funny parts in it, it is not so amusing like his other works; on the contrary, the situation how little people struggle for life portrayed in the movie makes the audience feel sad. This movie is probably the best one to explain the subject of "a tearful smile", anyway, comedy is another form of tragedy.

本片是周星驰的自传性质的电影，虽然仍然有搞笑的成分在里面，但并不像他的其他电影那么轻松，恰恰相反，其所刻画的小人物在生活中的挣扎还令人感到心酸。这大概是周星驰电影里最切合“含泪的微笑”这个主题的一部了，毕竟，喜剧只是悲剧的另一种表现形式。
