The Muslim Troops/回民支队

The prototype of the movie was the armed forces led by Ma, Benzhai during the Sino-Japanese War. However, this movie was filmed in a highly political time in China, so it was nothing strange to see the considerable emphasis on the Party's leadership. In other words, the movie wanted to tell the audience: even if you were originally a hero, you were nothing without the leadership of the Party.

故事的原型是来自抗日战争时期的马本斋所辖的武装部队，但是这是在中国政治特色非常浓重的时期拍摄的影片，所以相当强调党的领导。换句话说，电影想说的是，哪怕你原来是个英雄，只要离开了党，你也什么都不是。
