The structure of this movie was good, but the evolution or development of roles was a little awkward in some places. Zhao Wei failed to control her role well, sometimes she acted too tepid, while sometimes too hysterical. Donnie Yen had a similar problem too. To show cool was certainly good in a Kung Fu movie, but would become bad if you wanted to show your emotional change inside.
The plot was somewhat broken, and some parts seemed to not be consistent. The Secret Guards were victims of politics themselves, and the movie would be better if it had discussed more on the leading man's own philosophy (like what kind of an Honor he fought for).
本片的故事架构还是不错的，但是人物性格的演进和展开在个别地方有点突兀。赵薇对角色的把握也不太好，有时候过温，有时候过火。甄子丹也有类似的问题，摆酷固然好看，但如果你还要演感情戏的话，就不要总是摆酷。
故事情节有点跳脱，个别地方看起来不太顺畅。锦衣卫本身就是政治的牺牲品，如果电影能在男主角的理念（为了什么的尊严）上再挖掘一下就更好了。
