The movie was really like a drama, and was a deep thinking to a family or even a generation of Chinese merchants. This movie was unpretentious, but skillfully demonstrated to the audience a grand picture by characterizing the family's fate and suffering. Unfortunately the movie did not seem to arise a corresponding response in the market.
本片带有浓郁的文艺片特质，是对一个家族、乃至中国一代商人的深沉思索。朴实无华，巧妙地通过对家族和个人的命运和遭遇的刻画，展现了一幅宏大的画卷。遗憾的是，本片似乎并没有在市场上获得相应的回响。
