Have to say that although the movie lasted almost to two hours, the atmosphere full of mystery, strangeness and anxiety created by Hitchcock was so attractive, the audience could not be relieved until the last moment when the mystery turned out at the end of the movie.

In addition to the movie's own uniqueness, the appealing part to the audience may be the paranoid personality of the original mistress and the housekeeper, which would be more interesting for those professional type of audience.

不得不说虽然影片长达2个小时，但希区柯克所营造的神秘、诡异、焦虑的氛围十分吸引人，直到影片最后，谜底揭晓，观众才松了一口气。

除了影片本身的特色外，可能更吸引观众的就是片中原来的女主人和女管家的偏执狂性格，这对专业型的观众来说更有趣。
