The Assassin/大刺客

The movie was so soul-stirring and impressive as a complete ancient-story movie. The characters were all distinctive, the clue was clear, and the story-narration was structured. The editor added some extra plots besides the former story basis and made the whole story more complete. This was probably one of Chang Cheh's movies which focus more on talking plays rather than kung fu plays.

本片拍得荡气回肠，极有气势，是非常工整的古装叙事片。人物性格鲜明，故事线索突出，叙事有条不紊，在原来聂政故事的基础上又有所发展，让整个故事更加完整。这大概是张彻导演的不多的文戏重于武戏的片子之一。
