The Piano in a Factory/钢的琴

The movie is a rare realistic one which is truly about the life of normal people in China. Its theme is the SOE reform, but it is not a mainstream movie but a normal people's daily life one. The audience could really feel: right, that's the people around me, nice, maybe kind of not-so-honest, may be happy, also be sad. This is the transition of different times, we are unable to choose our destiny, nor can we change it, we can but to breathe in the tide of this era. We have nothing rhetoric, except to struggle for living.

This movie's box office was doomed to be low, because few can accept the naked fact of their livings. People want fantasy, that is the reason why they go to cinemas.

本片是近年来中国电影中罕见的真正的老百姓的电影，它反映的是国企改革这样的宏观题材，但并不是什么主旋律影片，而是老百姓自己的生活，观众能真切地感觉到：对，没错，这就是我身边的人，有善心，也有市井气，会高兴，也会难过。这是时代的变迁，我们无法选择命运，也无力改变命运，只能尽量在命运的大潮中喘息。没有什么豪言壮语，只有努力挣扎的生活。

本片注定票房低迷，因为很少人愿意看到赤裸裸的生活真实。人们喜欢幻想，这也是他们去电影院的原因。
