At first I thought this is a traditional oriental story of "how an evil guy be enlightened to be a good man", yet apparently the animation itself is more sophisticated, which reveals a everyone-knows-but-most-denies truth in the end: human beings are like beasts; both have to eat other lives to earn a living. Such deep cartoons are so rare.

一开始我以为本片是一个传统的东方式的“放下屠刀立地成佛”的故事，不过显然动画片更加高明，到结尾揭示了一个大众其实都知道但都普遍不愿意接受的真理：人和野兽是一样的，都是靠吃掉其他的生命才得以维生的。如此深度的动画片并不多见。
